From its official inception in the late 19th century and its growth through the 20st century, depth psychology has always been profoundly interdisciplinary, taking on topics such as literature, violence, religion, the paranormal, the economy, art, politics, ecology, current events, etc. Our students carry on this fine tradition, marrying depth psychology with interests they bring into the program, and sometimes with interests they discover or recover during the program, creating a dynamic depth psychology for the 21st century.

We invite you to click on any of the below topics to read abstracts of some of the dissertations our students have written on that subject. These dissertations can be downloaded and/or read in their entirety by anyone with access to Proquest (see your local library or for Pacifica students and alumni, contact the school library for our username and password).

NOTE: Because of the interdisciplinary nature of these dissertations, categorizing them is extremely difficult! These categories are meant to be suggestive, not exhaustive - some dissertations seamlessly weave together a half dozen or more topics.
