Entered Pacifica: 1998

Current Occupation: Professor of Education/Special Education Program Chair person

Where You Live: Altadena, California

What Brought You To Pacifica?  I first visited PGI with friends who were interested in applying for the Myth and counseling programs.

How Has Your Pacifica Degree Served You Professionally In Your Occupation/Vocation: Promotion for rank advancement at the university was achieved but more significant than that, for me, was the “advancement” in my own sense of self in my profession and vocation. The courses and interactions with students and instructors assisted me in appreciating my unique voice in answering the call in my work, my vocation and avocation.

How Has Your Degree Served You Personally?   Many of those in my cohort can attest to the sense of coming into our own uniqueness as we moved though the program. I certainly grew into a sense of who I am and what I have to offer myself and others as I self-reflect and as I interact with others at work and personally. I grew into a more full awareness of that which I can offer to the world in which I live just because I am me.

What Was The Meaningful Or Memorable Part Of The Pacifica Experience For You?   Learning to be fully present to myself and others. I also met my fabulous husband through a friend I made here at Pacifica. Now that is memorable!
